What´s TRUE on that?!
Skeleton lake
16,000 feet above the sea level in the remote part of Indian Himalayas can be find Roopkund Lake. On this place ice melt only one month in the year. After ice melts, appear human bones of more than 200 individuals. Because of this is Roopkund Lake better known as Skeleton Lake. Lake where are huge piles of skulls and bones...
In 1942 found skeletons a British forest guard, who was exploring the area. Guard though, that all of the bones belonged to Japanese soldiers passing through the mountains, when tried to invade to India during the war.
But, on this place are not only bones. Ice and cold preserved also hair, nails and also knives and jewelry. On place were found ancient weapons and studies showed that remains are from time around 850 A.D., theory about Japanese soldiers was rejected.
Old legend said, that group of travelers led by king with wife, and all family, servants and many others were traveling to Indian Festival. They hired local help. Due to loudly and unworthy behavior, were killed by goddess, who killed them by iron-like hailstones.
Come and take a look from legends to DNA testing. DNA testing showed, that remains belongs to two different groups of people, it looks like that one was group on pilgrimage or some expedition, which hired local guides. This supports part of legend, which says that part of people were kings with family and second part local helpers.
But what about iron-like hailstones? Studies found clear marks of round shaped blows to the skulls and their shoulders as if they were struck from above. On each skull has been found fracture consistnt with round object. Injuries were only on head and shoulders, thus blows must came directly above. Conclusion of studies was, that travelers were killed by hailstorm, which hail stones has diameter as a baseball.
As they were trapped in the valley without any shelter or place to hide, hailstorm killed them all. If you think that hailstorm couldn´t be so powerful. We have to inform you, that in 1984 occured hailstorm with tenis ball seized hail stones, in 1986 were killed 92 people in Bangladesh by hailstorm, which hail stones, were size of grapefruits. In 2018 have size of baseballs hail stones during storm, which hit the Colorado Zoo and killed 2 animals and injured 14 people. In December 2018 occured in Sydney hailstorm with hail stones big as golf balls.
Mentioned were only few of the mighty hailstorms. In big cities are more safe places, where you can hide, but in the valley, where Roopkund Lake is, there is no chance to hide. People were trapped in horrible trap.
